About the Role

Paragon Laser Systems is looking for a production technician who will advance our laser products, systems, solutions and work directly with end-users to install and service industrial laser marking systems.

The production technician will be responsible for executing various assembly tasks, such as performing mechanical and electrical assembly work and ensuring our systems meet defined safety standards. Additionally, the production technician will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop future state strategies and solutions. 

Outcomes

The production technician is responsible for improving the company’s products and processes and contributing to its revenue growth. 

Primary Responsibilities of the Production Technician

  • Build electromechanical assemblies and laser systems
  • Work with suppliers on procured products
  • Provide customer support both onsite and remotely
  • Ensure that installations and applications meet customer needs and safety standards
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and commission new systems

Requirements and skills

  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical experience
  • Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Previous laser experience is a plus

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand building plans and electrical schematics
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing
  • Ability to work with all levels of electrical voltage
  • Understanding of digital and analog circuits
  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 30%)
  • 2-year technology or electronics degree preferred
  • 3 -5 years industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)

Pay: Commensurate with Experience
